How to represent the social media data of the visitors of an event in a playful, creative and real-time way?

Design

For Doris the Bot, Bright has teamed up with artist Brendan Dawes. Brendan has created a work that generates digital creatures in real time based on various data from Twitter accounts.

Concept

During the event, which took place in Paris on January 27, 2015, guests could tweet @dorislebot and see their personal digital creatures appearing on the screen with other creatures. The shape of the creature was defined by the twitter ID of the user. The number of favorites fed the creature and thus influenced its size. The color depended on the age of the twitter account. Curious users with many subscriptions had antennas and big eyes.

After the event some of the creatures were chosen to be printed in 3D.
